6 And also, what is this that Ammon said—If ye will repent ye shall be saved, and if ye will not repent, ye shall be cast off at the last day?


Well, here we have the details I sought. The king was concerned about Ammon’s plea to repent and be saved or be cast out at the last day. It seems the king was genuinely concerned about the current state and future of his soul. No doubt because Ammon’s words were attended by the Holy Ghost.
