9 And the king said: Is God that Great Spirit that brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem?
10 And Aaron said unto him: Yea, he is that Great Spirit, and he created all things both in heaven and in earth. Believest thou this?
11 And he said: Yea, I believe that the Great Spirit created all things, and I desire that ye should tell me concerning all these things, and I will believe thy words.
The king knew and believed that it was God that led their fathers, the family of Lehi, out of Jerusalem and to this choice land. Except they had lost so much knowledge of who God was or the nature of God, as they now call him the Great Spirit- a term even used in our day among the Lamanites here in the United States.
He also, fortunately, believed that the Great Spirit was the Creator of all things. And when Aaron confirmed that, the Angry King was now ready, prepared and open to know the whole truth, and even told Aaron he would believe whatever he told him. How Aaron’s heart must have leaped for joy when he heard those words!
