Alma 26: 12

Writer's picture: Brother UreBrother Ure

12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

Ammon knows that without God he is nothing. He knows that his strength, the strength of man, any man, is weak. He’s not bragging about himself. He’s glorifying God! But he also recognizes that God’s strength and power and miracles are wrought, for the most part, through his children who have been charged with being our brother’s keepers. If there is sin and suffering in this world it’s because of man’s neglect of his fellow man, and for his harkening to the adversary of our souls and not because of God. God awaits patiently for us to come to him for the strength and help we need

to bless our brothers and sisters.
