Alma 26: 16

Writer's picture: Brother UreBrother Ure

16 Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel. Ammon tries to give his brother Aaron license to rejoice! Perhaps Ammon, like some of us, are a little too reserved in celebrating, rejoicing and praising our great God out of fear of offending HIm. Perhaps it is akin to Martha and Mary, and how one was overly concerned about the details of lesser things, while the other simply enjoyed and rejoiced in their Savior's presence. Ammon also reveals that his "boasting" is barely scratches the surface of what he truly feels inside. There are simply no words to describe his joy and his feelings of gratitude and awe at the greatness of God. And surely with good reason! For his ways are truly matchless!
