Alma 26: 30

Writer's picture: Brother UreBrother Ure

30 And we have suffered all manner of afflictions, and all this, that perhaps we might be the means of saving some soul; and we supposed that our joy would be full if perhaps we could be the means of saving some.

They suffered all of those things in the hope that they might be an instrument in God’s hands to save a few souls, expecting their joy would be full with even a few. After all, the Lord did say if you labor all of your days and bring only ONE soul unto Christ, that your joy would be great in heaven with that one soul.

How blessed they were to bring thousands! Plus future generation of their posterity! And those whom their posterity would bring along with their subsequent posterity. Amazing!
